une exposition réalisée en collaboration avec
l'Office
fédéral de la culture.
Costa Vece a bénéficié de l'atelier de
la Confédération à Berlin, en 2004.

Costa
Vece, d'origine italienne, concentre actuellement sa réflexion sur
la question de la population étrangère qui vit en Suisse. Réagissant
aux prises de position politiques de plus en plus dures et extrémistes
à l'égard des étrangers, il riposte en préparant, pour son exposition
à attitudes, la construction d'un territoire réservé à cette
population. Cette archi-sculpture, qui intégrera des éléments récurant
dans le travail de Costa Vece comme le carton et le drapeau, proposera
un espace de résistance identitaire pour tout représentant d'une
communauté étrangère. Sa contribution démontre ici la fermeté de
sa position, tant dans ses montages d'images que dans le slogan
qui a valeur de titre : " ojo por ojo (œil pour œil) ".

Costa
Vece, Italian by origin, currently focuses on the problem of the
foreign population living in Switzerland. Reacting to the increasingly
intolerant position of extremist political circles, his answer is
to prepare for the exhibition the construction of a territory reserved
for that population. This archi-sculpture is likely to use elements
familiar in Costa Vece's work, such as cardboard and the flag. It
will suggest a space of identity resistance for any member of a
foreign community. His contribution underlines the firmness of his
position, both by his display of pictures and by his slogan that
is worth a title : "Ojo por ojo" (An eye for an eye).
