Marianne
Müller started developing her photographic work by focussing on her own body and
domestic environment. From this intimate approach, she gradually opened to other
types of context, such as the pigeon house in Brooklyn which she " domesticated
" with her camera over a period of months. As a video artist, she also created
an important corpus entitled Standing Still Travelling Slowly, a composition of
ten double films, shot in ten different countries on four continents. The principle
of a double film consists of two cameras converging on one point to create a double
panoramic picture, separated by a temporal gap. A selection of these films will
be presented during the exhibition. In Santiago, Marianne Müller will also produce
a specific photographic work that will constitute the portfolio of our upcoming
publication. solo
